ADMISSION INTO PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING (PDSR) APRIL 2026 INTAKE
VIRTUAL CLASSES
The National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) invites applications for admission into the Professional Diploma in Sustainability Reporting (PDSR) 1st Intake.
The PDSR Course is designed to equip learners with comprehensive knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies in sustainability reporting in line with international best practices and emerging global regulatory requirements. The Course responds to the increasing demand for qualified professionals capable of preparing, interpreting, and assuring sustainability and ESG-related disclosures.
Objectives of the Course:
The Professional Diploma in Sustainability Reporting aims to:
• Build capacity in sustainability and ESG reporting;
• Enhance understanding of global sustainability reporting frameworks and standards;
• Equip participants with practical skills for preparing sustainability reports;
• Support compliance with evolving regulatory and stakeholder reporting requirements; and
• Strengthen professional judgment and ethical considerations in sustainability reporting.
Targeted Participants:
The Course is intended for:
• Accountants and auditors;
• Compliance and risk management officers;
• Sustainability and ESG officers;
• Financial reporting professionals;
• Consultants involved in corporate reporting; or
• Any other professionals with an interest in sustainability reporting.
Entry Qualifications:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following requirements:
• Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) or its equivalent;
• Holder of a recognized professional qualification; or
• Holder of a certification in sustainability reporting from a recognized institution.
Mode of Study:
The course will be offered in virtual (online) classes, two days per week on Tuesday and Thursday. Classes start from 5.00 p.m to 7.00 p.m (2hrs).
Duration of the Course:
The course will be conducted for the duration of 4 months. Classes will begin on Tuesday 7thApril, 2026.
Examination Structure:
Examination will be in a competence-based approach where a candidate will be required to sit for a single paper after completing the normal course work of PDSR. There will be two (2) examination sessions (February and August) per annum for each level
Examination Centers:
All examinations will be conducted physically in the following regions:
• Arusha
• Dar es Salaam
• Dodoma
Award:
A candidate who successfully completes the training and examination requirements shall be awarded a Professional Diploma in Sustainability Reporting (PDSR) of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

All applications for the Professional Diploma in Sustainability Reporting (PDSR) should be submitted by completing the application form available through:
• NBAA Website; or
• NBAA Members and Examination Management System (MEMS).
Deadline for receiving applications for the 3rd intake will be on Friday 27th March, 2026.
